Making the CD holder:

My research which influenced me the most:

These were my main influence as the CD holder used the same image as the CD which shows that the image is important and relates to the whole album.

This then makes the image more of a focus as it is there even when the CD is not, this makes the image iconic as you begin to associate the image with the album as the CD case uses the same design as the CD.

I wanted to create mine like this as i feel it makes the image stand out and makes it clear the the image has something to do with the tone and message of the music as it has been made a bigger feature by being used in more than one area.

The template we used:

This template is from a PDF file of a Digipak given to us by our teachers in a way to help us design our own Digipak. I chose to recreate this design on Photoshop so that it made my own CD holder look realistic as the design would be perfect.

How I made the template:

We had to go on paint and add the photo in as a template, we then had to draw around the outline to create our own version so that we could remove the white background in Photoshop so that it was a hollow outline that showed the design behind it. This is to create the effect of a hollow area where the CD will be placed.
